“I believe that we live in America. We don’t live in the Soviet Union," Lesko said. "And so government shouldn’t be telling employers, Catholic organizations or mom-and-pop employers to do something that’s against their moral beliefs.”

Birth-control-exclusion bill goes to AZ Senate

Certainly the only thing preventing us from becoming the USSR is our freedom make medical decisions for our employees.

Wisconsin state senator Glenn Grothman went on the Alan Colmes show on Friday to discuss a controversial new bill he authored that would require the state’s Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board to officially label single parenthood as “a contributing factor to child abuse and neglect.”
The bill was seen as a slap in the face to single parents in Wisconsin, who are raising 31 percent of children in the state.
Grothman told Colmes that the country’s out-of-wedlock birth rate is the “choice of the women,” who should be “educated that this is a mistake.” When Colmes countered with statistics about the high number of pregnancies that are unintended, Grothman said that many women are “trained” to lie and say that they’re pregnancies are unintended

I remember as a child when the boys and girls were separated, they’d tell the boys about erections and train the girls to lie about their pregnancies.

Now that over a dozen companies have bailed on Rush Limbaugh after he called Sandra Fluke a “slut” on air, a couple of new companies are swooping in to buy up that abandoned air time. AshleyMadison.com, the dating site that helps people cheat on their significant others, has offered to buy up all of Limbaugh’s existing ad inventory. The company’s founder and C.E.O. Noel Biderman, who’s already shown himself to be a deft grabber of publicity, said in a press release, “Rush has always been a controversial figure and we have always been a controversial service so we can relate.”

I imagine a world where all of Rush’s programs are surrounded by adds for dildo’s and planned parenthood

Kansas is attempting to do worse than everyone else when it comes to abortion rights.
The latest bill — which is scheduled to be discussed by a legislative committee for a second time on Wednesday — contains a number of provisions which would give the state one of the most sweeping anti-abortion laws in the nation. Among the provisions is one which would exempt doctors from malpractice suits if they withhold information — in order to prevent an abortion — that could have prevented a health problem for the mother or child. A wrongful death suit could be filed in the event of the death of the mother. Other provisions include requiring women to hear the fetal heartbeat prior to an abortion, taking away tax credits for abortion providers and removing tax deductions for abortion-related insurance. The bill also requires that women be told that abortions would increase the risk of breast cancer, a controversial theory that the World Health Organization, the National Cancer Institute and gynecological groups in the United States and the United Kingdom have said is incorrect.
